This webinar features two renowned experts in the field of language and the brain as they join forces – Prof. Yosef Grodzinsky (ELSC, Israel) and Prof. Katrin Amunts (Director at the Forschungszentrum Jülich; head of the Scientific Committee, EU Human Brain Project, Germany). Katrin and Yosef share their scientific voyage into the origins of our unique language capability. They discuss their novel high-resolution mapping of linguistic regions in the brain and introduce clinical settings – where basic research is used to assess and treat patients who have lost aspects of their linguistic ability (e.g., aphasia) subsequent to stroke. The webinar is moderated by Prof. Idan Segev (ELSC, Israel).
