Dr. Alex Rouvinski is a researcher at the Institute for Medical Research, Israel-Canada (IMRIC) at Hebrew University’s Faculty of Medicine. An expert in microbiology and molecular genetics, he investigates how viruses originating in animals can evolve into human viral pathogens. His research focuses on the new and infectious viruses spread by insects that are major causes of human and animal diseases worldwide.
